About the Clinic
The Perth Circumcision Clinic was set up by Dr Leon Levitt, an experienced Western Australian General Practitioner Obstetrician with over 30 years experience in circumcisions in neonates (boys under the age of 8 weeks). He has performed over 14000 circumcisions in the clinic setting. The Clinic has been operating within Dr Levitt’s medical practice throughout this time, and in 2011 began operations as a separate entity.
Wilst Dr Levitt is unable to perform circumsicion for children over the age of 8 weeks, he is able to provide valuable information and a referral for the procedure to be done with a Specialist.
An experienced Neonatal Paediatrician Dr Steven Resnick, joined the Perth Circumcision Clinic in 2011 in order to provide a constant circumcision service to Western Australian families. He uses exactly the same technique and protocols developed by Dr Levitt.
The Herdsman Specialist Centre is a professional yet warm, bright and friendly set of offices centred around a well-equipped training/workshop room, at 21/127 Herdsman Parade, Wembley.
All the professionals using the suites are primarily focussed upon mother and child care.
The key tenant is the Baby Steps Health Centre with GP Obstetricians, Child Health Nurses and Lactation Consultants providing health care and parent education to young families. The Feeding Assessment Team, Developmental Assessment Team and Tongue-Tie Assessment Clinic have been set up to take advantage of the collaboration of the many specialists in the centre.
NOTE: If you would like to have your son's tongue tie released on the same day as the circumcision please let our receptionist know on booking.
There will be a small out of pocket expense.
